Bailey Vaughn

Founder

Bailey is a Dunnellon native. In her youth, Bailey was an active participant in the former Marion Ballet Theater’s annual performance of The Nutcracker, dancing roles such as “The Nutcracker” and the “Sugar Plum Fairy”. Bailey earned her degree at the esteemed State University of New York at Purchase College, Conservatory of Dance. While at SUNY Purchase Bailey had the pleasure of performing in re-stagings of works by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. She also had the privilege of working with world renowned choreographers including Adam Barruch, Tom Weinberger, and Bobbi Jene Smith. In the Fall of 2017, Bailey was selected to study abroad at the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in the Modern Theatre Dans program where she learned excerpts of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s, Drumming. While in her last year in the Conservatory of Dance, Bailey joined the internationally touring company, Ballet Nepantla and performed works such as Sin Fronteras and Valentina. Under the artistic direction of Bessie Award winner, Shannon Hummel, Bailey had the pleasure of teaching students at the non profit dance school, “Cora Dance”, in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Bailey is a certified instructor with Acrobatic Arts. She holds a certification in personal training from the American Council of Exercise and is a Pre/Postnatal Performance Training Specialist. Bailey founded Art in Motion in 2022 to share her passion for movement and lessons she has learned in the industry with the Central Florida region.
